Mayan Mask Alocasia is a large bulb perennial that has bold huge upright foliage on sturdy flop resistant stems. These glossy ripple-edged green leaves with prominent light green veining and chocolate undersides can reach 1-3ft. The creamy-white spathe and spadix bloom intermittently throughout the year, but are rare indoors. Grows best in part sun with rich, moist to wet well-drained acidic soils. Treat as an annual when grown outside of its zones.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance plant. Plants may burn in full sun, and in too much shade then petioles will weaken and will not be able to support the leaves. Watch for spider mites, aphids, scale, and mealybugs.
