Party Balloons Ornamental Onion is a clumping herbaceous perennial with wide grass-like green foliage. Sturdy upright stems sport huge 8" fragrant global clusters densely packed tiny with pink-purple flowers from late spring into summer. Grows best with light afternoon shade in the South and dry to medium well-drained soils. When crushed the foliage smells like onion.
