Summer Beauty Ornamental Onion is a compact herbaceous perennial with broader grass-like green foliage. Sturdy upright stems sport large fragrant global clusters of soft lavender flowers at the ends from mid to late summer. Grows best with light afternoon shade in the South and dry to medium well-drained soils. When crushed the foliage smells like onion.
