Turkish Ornamental Onion is a bulbous perennial with thick grey-green basal foliage that are sometimes mottled with purple. Short central stalks sporting mildly fragrant global clusters of tiny muted pink star-like flowers in late spring. Grows best with light afternoon shade in the South and dry to medium well-drained soils. When crushed the foliage smells like onion.
