This formula was developed with the help of a Veterinarian specializing in helping cats with kidney disease.
Intended for cats who require a low-phosphorus diet, this Restricted Diet Phosphorus Formula contains low levels of phosphorus, to help manage kidney disease.
This food is for Intermitted feeding only because of the low level of phosphorus. AFFCO ( the organization that sets feeding guidelines) has determined this formula does not meet federal guidelines. This food is intended for temporary feedings and not a permanent part of your cat's diet. Once your cat gets better you can discontinue using this food.
Our veterinarian suggested that higher levels of protein actually better support cats' carnivorous' bodies — and it also improves the taste!
In a new Chicken & Chicken Liver Recipe, we've added more protein, all while keeping the phosphorus levels in check.

Feeding Directions
Feed at room temperature and refrigerate unused portion. Always provide access to clean, fresh water. This product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only. Use as directed by your veterinarian.
