Mount Everest Ornamental Onion is a clumping herbaceous perennial with wide, deep green grass-like foliage.  Sturdy upright stems sport large fragrant global clusters of glistening white flowers at the ends from late spring into early summer.  Grows best with light afternoon shade in the South and dry to medium well-drained soils.  When crushed the foliage smells like onion.
